Professor Liu’s appointment ceremony was held in the meeting room at ninth floor of Yifu Building on February 27th. The vice president of SEU—Liu Bo, the head of the Organization Department---Meng Xin , and some representatives of staffs attended the meeting. Professor Meng Hong hosted the meeting.
Mr. Meng Xin announced the decision of appointing Professor Liu Yanhong as the new dean of law school. Professor Zhou Youyong, who is the former dean of law school, has been appointed as the head of Humanities and Social Science Department of SEU.
On behalf of SEU, Mrs Liu Bo commended the outstanding contribution which Professor Zhou has ever made to law school and showed her firm confidence to the Professor Liu. Mrs. Liu Bo hoped that staffs in law school could unite together and heritage the good spirit of law school. Mrs. Liu Bo also called the staffs to support the work of new dean and make a greater contribution and progresses in the future. Then , Professor Zhou appreciated the support from university and other colleagues and he was looking forward to seeing the greater development of law school, which is under the leadership of new dean of the school. Professor Liu delivered a speech to show her will to lead law school to a better future and thanked the trust from all the colleagues in law school.
At last, Professor Meng Hong showed her respect to Prefessor Zhou and promised to continue supporting the work of the new dean. Professor Gao Ge and Professor Shi Jianhui also gave a speech as the representatives of staffs.
