The National Key R&D Project of Southeast University Law School "Research on Integrated Civil Service Technology and Equipment for the Whole Process of Litigation" was successfully completed

Recently, the National Key Research and Development Program project Research on Integrated Civil Service Technology and Equipment for the Whole Process of Litigation led by Southeast University Law School was successfully completed.

According to Prof. Zhou Youyong, the project is driven by big data and artificial intelligence technology for judicial scenes, aiming at providing personalized, targeted and specialized intelligent services for the public, promoting the reengineering of the traditional litigation service process, establishing a new concept of whole-process citizen-friendly services, and building an integrated smart court. The new pattern of convenient services for the public. Since the establishment of the project in August 2018, the project team has made concerted efforts to promote the project and achieved fruitful research results, including 47 invention patents, 35 registered software copyrights, 11 national court industry standards, and 47 high-level papers. The final result of the project, People's Court Integrated Civil Service Application Platform, supports litigation guidance and intelligent legal consultation, intelligent assessment of litigation risks and results, generation and effective review of litigation materials, multi-channel service of judicial documents and traceability of the whole process, intelligent assessment and early warning of litigation property preservation, and cross-network online mediation with multiple accesses. The system has effectively enhanced the level of the people's court's intelligent litigation service.

In recent years, Southeast University Law School has been exploring the path of interdisciplinary education and talent cultivation by combining with the school's advantageous disciplines, breaking new ground in the field of big data and artificial intelligence network law features, and striving to develop research bases and platforms that match the frontier technology field, establishing the Southeast University People's Court Judicial Big Data Research Base in July 2016 (Supreme People's Court Law [2016] 240 In July 2016, the Research Base for Judicial Big Data of People's Court of Southeast University was established (approved by the Supreme People's Court Law [2016] 240). The base attaches great importance to the construction and cultivation of the research talent team, and the cross-research team composed of experts from various fields such as law, big data and artificial intelligence has initially formed a composite research talent team with the ability of theoretical research, prototype development and project implementation in the field of legal big data and artificial intelligence, which is first-class in China and leading in the world.

Since 2016, the Judicial Big Data Research Base of the People's Court of Southeast University has been fruitful in frontier and major scientific research projects, and the platform focuses on the research and effectiveness of core technologies in emerging technology fields, and actively promotes the effective transformation of technologies with core competitiveness into industry. At the same time, the base also always keeps in mind its social responsibility, and has been engaged in targeted and reality-oriented research, actively advising government agencies and sharing intellectual achievements with the public. With the base's unremitting efforts, the relevant research results have been highly recognized by social third-party institutions and have had a wide impact in the society.
