At the time of in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, we ushered in the ninth National Constitution Day and the fifth Constitution Awareness Week together. In order to implement the theme of Learning and Implementing the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and Promoting the Full Implementation of the Constitution, under the guidance of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of the University, the Academic Work Department of the Party Committee of the University, the Research Work Department of the Party Committee of the University, the Youth League Committee of the University and the Legal Office of the University, the Law School of Southeast University actively organized and carried out the Practicing the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and Promoting the Construction of China under the Rule of Law Speech Contest in Jiangsu Universities and the Southeast University Law School. The 8th Rule of Law Culture Festival of Southeast University is a series of activities of the league of speech competition. Unlike previous years, the festival was led by Southeast University, and invited 15 universities such as Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University and Soochow University to participate in the speech contest league with us, and jointly set off a province-wide campus education and publicity of the rule of law.

The series of activities of the Rule of Law Culture Festival includes seven main parts, including the speech contest league of practicing the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and promoting the construction of China under the rule of law, SRTP lectures, lectures on humanities and scientific literacy for postgraduates, rule of law parade, rule of law culture knowledge contest, speech contest and essay contest on the theme of the Constitution. More than 7,000 students from various faculties and departments actively participated in the event, which was well received by teachers and students.

This activity, widely paid attention by China Youth Daily, China Education Newspaper, Jiangsu Education Newspaper and other important newspapers, especially Jiangsu TV reporters interviewed Qiu Feng, secretary of the University Youth League Committee, Mao Huixi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Law, and Song Jiangang, vice minister of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the University, will introduce the special practices and useful experience of this rule of law cultural festival to the whole province.

I. Rule of law parade

In order to deeply study and publicize Xi Jinping's thought of rule of law, vigorously promote the spirit of the Constitution, popularize the knowledge of the Constitution, and further strengthen the understanding and awareness of the Constitution among teachers and students, combined with the opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the university, in May this year, the law school held a 100th anniversary of the university - the future of the rule of law parade in the West Square of the Student Activity Center of Jiulong Lake Campus of Southeast University. The event was very lively. Many students stopped by the booths to learn more about the Constitution. Many students signed the banners, Law Solitaire, Law Name Memory, Folding Newspaper, Law Guessing Many students were also attracted to participate in the games such as Law Solitaire, Law Name Memory, Fold the Newspaper, Law Guess and Law Match.

The eight booths in charge of each organization, such as Wenrui Party Building Workstation, Qinglian pouring out the words of the law, legal aid center, national first heart growth garden, legal heart hall, sports club and employment service center, carried out various activities around the six themes of school history, party history, legal aid, national culture, psychology and sports, with various forms and rich contents.

The rule of law parade allowed students to understand the spirit of the Constitution, learn the knowledge of the Constitution, enhance their enthusiasm and interest in learning the Constitution, cultivate the awareness of active learning of the Constitution, and gradually develop a rule of law mindset and enhance the concept of the rule of law.

At the garden party, student members of the undergraduate party branch also participated in the promotion of the law and introduced relevant legal knowledge to the students passing by. The exhibition board of constitutional knowledge elaborated by the students of the Student Union was placed at the conference site, which was fun and educational and made the students feel that the constitution is not a cold text, but is around everyone.

In order to respond to the call of the Party, to better promote legal knowledge, to vigorously carry forward the spirit of the rule of law, and to promote the formation of a strong atmosphere of respecting, learning, abiding by and using the law among teachers and students in colleges and universities, Southeast University College of Law launched the 8th Campus Rule of Law Culture Festival Speech Contest to encourage students to learn and abide by the Constitution.

Students from more than ten faculties of the university were invited to participate in the Southeast University Rule of Law Culture Festival on-campus speech contest. The contestants from various faculties brought us speeches with great characteristics and personal styles in innovative forms, high-quality contents and full of enthusiasm, and their impassioned emotions and rich thoughts made the audience feel the charm of the rule of law and learn many new knowledge, which benefited them greatly. In particular, Huang Yinguang, an international student from Cambodia, expressed his praise for the achievements of China's comprehensive rule of law and the sense of security and happiness of living in China. In addition, the speech contest also set up a Xinjiang branch, inviting primary and secondary school students from the middle school of 149th Regiment of the Encouragement Corps to participate in the law-prevention education jointly built by the school and the local community, extending the position of Dongda's law-prevention education, and demonstrating Dongda's sense of mission and responsibility to serve the society.

III. Constitution Essay Contest

In order to study Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, the fourth essay contest of Learning the Constitution and Speaking the Constitution was successfully carried out in November. Students from various majors and grades actively participated in the contest, and the number of essays received in this year's Learn the Constitution, Speak the Constitution contest was a record high. The essay contest was judged by a team composed of Mr. Wang Xinjian from the Office of Legal Affairs of Southeast University, Mr. Liu Lianjun, Mr. Chen Daoying, Mr. Zhang Xuelian and Ms. Wan Qianhui from the College of Law of Southeast University, and the essays were strictly judged anonymously. In this year's essay, there were many profound and logical academic essays as well as emotional and linguistic essays, which made the judges' eyes shine. The contestants expressed their sincere feelings for the Constitution by writing from their own pens!

IV. SRTP Lecture and Postgraduate Humanities and Scientific Literacy Lecture Series

Professor Liu Lianjun, a professor and doctoral supervisor of Southeast University College of Law, gave an SRTP lecture titled Constitutional Perspective on Anti-Corruption and Integrity to the students. In the lecture, Prof. Liu analyzed the basic role of the Constitution in the fight against corruption and corruption, and proposed that the reasonable allocation of public power in the Constitution can greatly limit the occurrence of corruption and stabilize the development order of the country. After that, the final of the league of Practicing the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and Promoting the Construction of Rule of Law China was held in Jiangsu University. The competition adopted the mode of combining online and offline, and set up two venues: main and sub venues. The contestants continued their excellent performance in the preliminary round, organically integrated the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress with the spirit of the Constitution and the law, and expressed their firm determination to take up the mission of building China by law and order, to forge ahead with the rule of law, and to express their high morale to follow the Party forever and build a new era by telling the examples around them, sharing their feelings about the rule of law, and eulogizing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. With their impassioned speeches, the contestants reflected the high sense of responsibility and noble historical mission of the contemporary college students.

After the impartial evaluation by the expert teachers, Mr. Qin Xia, the Minister of the Academic Work Department of the Party Committee, the Minister of the Armed Forces Department and the Director of the Student Affairs Department of the university, announced the results of the competition on the spot. After the wonderful speech contest, we ushered in the fierce rule of law knowledge competition. In the final round of the rule of law knowledge competition, the contestants fought fiercely, and their quick response and proficiency in knowledge won the applause of the audience. During the competition, the contestants were calm and collected, confident and generous, expressing themselves freely, and the atmosphere on the field reached the climax in the continuous accumulation of scores in the wheel battle and the applause of the audience. The wonderful performance of the contestants showed the legal literacy of our students, and at the same time, the knowledge contest also popularized the legal knowledge and created a good atmosphere of knowing and learning the law and abiding by the law.
