Practicing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and moving towards a new journey in a new era. The report of the 20th CPC National Congress made a major decision and deployment around adhering to Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law as a guide and deeply promoting the construction of China under the rule of law, which has pointed out the direction for promoting the comprehensive rule of law and building a socialist country under the rule of law in the new era. In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and vigorously carry forward the spirit of the Constitution, Southeast University led an alliance of 15 universities in Jiangsu Province to successfully hold a speech contest of practicing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and promoting the construction of China under the rule of law in Jiangsu universities from November 26 to December 11.
In the preliminary round from November 26 to December 1, the contestants from 16 colleges and universities showed their sincere emotions of youthfulness towards the Party and promoting the construction of China's rule of law, as well as the youthful vigor and spirituality of college students in the new era who are vigorous and energetic.
After the fair selection by four judges: Mr. Sun Shusheng from the Law and Politics Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party School, Mr. Shen Dingcheng, Deputy Director of Research Department of Jiangsu Law Society, Mr. Su Shengli, Deputy Editor of Mass Magazine, and Mr. Jin Yiqian from the Social League Department (Volunteer Department) of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, 10 contestants were selected as finalists.
On December 11, the final of the speech contest of practicing the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and promoting the construction of China under the rule of law in Jiangsu universities came to a perfect end. Mr. Yuan Yimin, the second grade researcher of Jiangsu Education Department, Mr. Huang Yongzhong, the director of Rule of Law Research Department of Jiangsu Judicial Department, Mr. Cao Lianlian, the director of Research Department of Jiangsu Law Society, Mr. Ding Guofeng, the director of Jiangsu Reporter Station of Rule of Law Daily, and Mr. Zhang Wang, the deputy director of College Department of Jiangsu Provincial Committee, attended the competition as judges.
The competition adopted a combination of online and offline mode, with two main and sub venues. The contestants continued their excellent performance in the preliminary round, integrating the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress with the spirit of the Constitution and the law, expressing their determination to carry out the mission of building China by the rule of law, and expressing their high morale to follow the Party forever and build a new era by telling the examples around them, sharing their feelings about the rule of law, and eulogizing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. With their impassioned speeches, the contestants reflected the high sense of responsibility and noble historical mission of the contemporary college students.
After the fair evaluation by the expert teachers, one first prize, three second prizes, six third prizes and six excellent prizes were selected in the two rounds of competition.
