In order to continuously promote the brand construction of Southeast Law, enhance the sense of honor, mission and responsibility of the majority of the faculty and staff, and create a good atmosphere of unity and upward movement in the whole college, the Spring Semester 2024 Faculty and Staff Meeting of the College of Law and Women's Day Celebration was held on March 6, 2024, and all the faculty and staff members took a group photo together. The conference was presided over by Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, and was attended by members of the leadership team of the School, all the teachers and staff of the organization.

In a warm and loving atmosphere, Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, sent his sincere New Year wishes to the attending faculty and staff, grandly introduced Mr. Wu Dongxing, a new member of the Law School, and sorted out in detail the important achievements made by the Law School at the beginning of the year 2024 in the areas of faculty construction, scientific research achievements, and so on.

In the session of deploying work plan and reporting work idea by leaders of the faculty, Dean Ouyang Benqi of the Law School, Vice Dean Xiong Zhanglin, Vice Dean Shan Pingji, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean Chen Yun made work deployment respectively.

Ouyang Benqi, Dean of the School of Law, made plans for the work of the School of Law in 2024: in terms of work ideas, we should be guided by the spirit of the relevant meetings of the university, and accurately grasp the intrinsic relationship between academic scholars and students; in terms of the direction of efforts, we should have a deeper understanding of the connotation and weight of disciplines, and make breakthroughs in key areas; in view of the goals set this year, we should grasp the opportunities and challenges, and implement and achieve results in scientific research, undergraduate and master's degree teaching, and human resources, and so on. In view of the goals set for this year, we should seize the opportunities and challenges and make achievements in scientific research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and talent team. President Ouyang Benqi expressed his hope that all the faculty members will continue to maintain the energy of hard work and practical, be confident and self-reliant, keep the right and innovative, and work hard to promote the connotative and high-quality development of Law School of Southeast University.

Xiong Zhanglin, vice dean of the School of Law, made specific arrangements for the spring semester of 2024 for the work under his charge. He stated that in the field of graduate education and management, the Law School will promote the development of various measures to effectively regulate systems such as blind review of papers, annual review of supervisor qualifications, and allocation of indicators; In terms of scientific research management and services, the editorial department of Southeast Law, and the teaching and research office of Engineering Law, while ensuring the smooth operation of various basic work, we plan to explore and innovate. By regularly holding youth academic salons at Southeast University Law School, adding external audit experts for Southeast Law, and actively participating in education and teaching reform, we aim to create a brilliant project.

Shan Pingji, vice dean of the School of Law, emphasized the key work of the next stage of undergraduate teaching. He pointed out that the college should strictly follow the requirements of the school, high-quality completion of the Ministry of Education's undergraduate education and teaching assessment work; to organize young teachers teaching activities seminars, play the role of passing on the role of undergraduate education and teaching to lead the quality of undergraduate education and teaching; to use a variety of incentives to mobilize young teachers to participate in the education and teaching reform initiative, to overcome the difficulties, and strive for a breakthrough. 

Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary and Vice President of the Party Committee, reported on the specific ideas for student work: we should take Party building work as the leadership, take moral education as the foundation, serve the country as the guide, and support team building. We should deepen the four characteristics of organizational education, assistance to South China, simultaneous development of five educations, and rule of law, strive for five breakthroughs in employment services, team building, Party and Youth League building, social practice, and innovation and entrepreneurship, adhere to the purpose of the Law School of seeking knowledge from things, leading with warmth and sharpness, and create a student work team with warmth and sharpness, achieving outstanding legal talents with both moral and legal education.

Party Secretary Liu Qichuan summarized that with the care and support of school leaders and the joint efforts of all teachers in the college, the Law School has achieved leapfrog development and breakthrough results, but there is still a lot of room for development. He hopes that all teachers will treat teaching and research work with a high sense of responsibility in the 2024 Academic Year, achieve personal value through unremitting efforts, supervise and promote the improvement of various aspects of the college's work with a high sense of ownership, drive the development of the college with personal achievements, and grow and progress together with the college.

During the appointment ceremony, Teacher Meng Hong was appointed as the Special Teaching Advisor of the Law School of Southeast University, and Teacher Wang Jinyuan was appointed as the Special Research Advisor of the Law School of Southeast University. Party Secretary Liu Qichuan highly praised the outstanding contributions made by the two teachers to the teaching and scientific research of the law school, especially in supporting the growth of young teachers, spare no effort to promote future students, remain unknown, and devote themselves wholeheartedly. After retiring, the two teachers are enthusiastic about the construction of the Law School and the development of young teachers, actively exerting their enthusiasm for teaching and research. We believe that the Law School will make significant progress in teaching and research!
