On March 6, 2024, the Law School of Southeast University and the People's Procuratorate of Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City, held a symposium on deepening cooperation between the two schools and the appointment ceremony of off campus mentors for professional master's degree students at the Old Library of the Sipailou Campus of Southeast University. Professor Ouyang Benqi, Dean of the Law School, Professor Shan Pingji, Vice Dean, Associate Professor Qian Xiaoping, Associate Professor Liu Jianli, Associate Professor Jiyang, Secretary of the Party Group and Prosecutor General of the Xiangcheng District Procuratorate, Wang Cen, full-time member of the Procuratorate Committee, Wang Lianping, Office Director Sun Xingfeng, Deputy Director of the Third Procuratorate Department Lu Yujia, and Assistant Prosecutor Gao Chuhan attended the event. The symposium was chaired by Professor Shan Pingji, Vice Dean of the Law School.

Dean Ouyang Benqi warmly welcomed the visit of Prosecutor Wang Cen and his delegation, and introduced the progress of key discipline construction and cooperation between law schools at Southeast University. He stated that in recent years, the Law School of Southeast University has fully utilized its disciplinary advantages, platform advantages, and think tank advantages, continuously strengthened exchanges and cooperation with procuratorial organs at all levels, and worked hard to create a Jiangsu sample of procuratorial school cooperation. I hope to further deepen the cooperation mechanism between procuratorates and schools with the People's Procuratorate of Xiangcheng District. In terms of practical teaching, theoretical research, and talent cultivation, we will complement resources and cooperate for mutual benefit. We will establish diverse and flexible cooperation methods around topic research, knowledge sharing, and case discussions, and jointly create academic achievements of procuratorate school cooperation with influence and recognition.

Prosecutor Wang Cen introduced the work progress of the Xiangcheng District Procuratorate since the beginning of this year and expressed expectations for further cooperation between procuratorates and schools in the future. He stated that cooperation between procuratorial schools is an important path and valuable resource for the development of the procuratorial system, which is of great significance for expanding horizons, improving the level of practical and theoretical integration, and enhancing the quality and cultivation of police officers. This year is the year of academic strength for the Xiangcheng Procuratorate. They hope to continue to strengthen our close cooperation with the Law School of Southeast University, further integrate existing resources, optimize cooperation mechanisms, broaden cooperation methods in new difficult problem governance, typical case studies and other fields, and explore the establishment of a training mechanism for high-level procuratorial talents based on the joint construction of the Blockchain Procuratorial Application Practice Base with the Law School of Southeast University last year.

Dean Ouyang Benqi awarded the appointment letter for off campus mentors of Master's degree students from Southeast University Law School to Prosecutor General Wang Cen, and Prosecutor General Wang Cen awarded the Certificate of Friends of Prosecutors to Associate Professors Liu Jianli and Ji Yang.

After the appointment ceremony, a collaborative symposium on campus inspection was held. Professor Shan Pingji, Vice Dean of the Law School, and Wang Lian, a full-time member of the procuratorial committee, and other attendees had in-depth exchanges on how to further strengthen cooperation and form cooperative characteristics.
