Spring blossomed in March. We ushered in the annual International March 8 Women's Day. In order to spend a full and meaningful Women's Day, our labor union organized a series of celebration activities.
In the afternoon of March 6, the union of the Law School prepared roses representing youth and beauty for each female faculty member and invited the leaders and representatives of the faculty to send flowers and blessings to the female faculty members at the faculty meeting of the spring semester 2024 of the School.
On the afternoon of March 13th, Liu Jianli, president of the labor union of the college, led the female faculty and staff to the beautiful countryside of Fountain Village in Pukou District and experienced the traditional crafts of tie-dyeing and gold-painting. The female faculty and staff enjoyed the scenery along the road, singing and laughing along the way, overflowing with youth and enthusiasm, showing the style of holding up half the sky to the fullest.
In the traditional craft skills experience session, after learning the basic operations of tie-dyeing and gold-painting, the teachers started to create their own creations. The process of making handicrafts is a unique expression, which is not only the pursuit of beauty, but also a dialog between the mind and the hand. Teachers involved in tie-dye production used glass beads, wooden sticks, rubber bands and other props to make flat white canvas hats and canvas bags into the desired look. After taking them out of the dyeing tank, a unique pattern unfolded, adding a lot of personality and romance to the monotonous canvas. Teachers who participated in the making of the gold-traced notebooks carefully sketched the lines on the paper, drew exquisite pictures, and then decorated them with gold foil, and the lovely animal images appeared on the paper. The traditional skills experience not only let the teachers enjoy the fun of handcraft creation, but also stimulated their creativity and imagination.
On this Women's Day, the college labor union also prepared a gift pack of toiletries for all female faculty and staff representing health and carefree. The union of the College of Law wishes all female faculty and staff of the College of Law eternal youth, beauty, health and happiness! Wish all female compatriots all the best!
