On the afternoon of March 27, 2024, Chen Hongbing, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Law School of Southeast University, was invited by Zhongwen Shenzhen Law Firm to give a lecture on How to Defend Economic Crimes. The seminar was organized by the Criminal Department of Zhongwen Shenzhen and hosted by Mr. Mou Xi, with many criminal defense lawyers and criminal law enthusiasts in Shenzhen attending the seminar, which was attended by a warm atmosphere.

Combining his many years of theoretical research on economic crimes and rich judicial practice experience, Prof. Chen Hongbing highlighted the key points of defense in practice for various crimes such as production and sale of shoddy products, obstruction of drug administration, production, sale and supply of counterfeit drugs, acceptance of bribe by non-state staff, bribery by non-state staff, fraudulent acquisition of loans, illegal absorption of public deposits, credit card fraud, fraudulent issuance of value-added tax invoices, fraudulent export and offset invoices, false invoicing, tax evasion, sale of counterfeit registered trademark goods, infringement of commercial secrets, contract fraud and other crimes. The key points of defense in the practice of many crimes such as false invoicing, tax refund, tax deduction invoice crime, false invoicing crime, tax evasion crime, crime of selling counterfeit registered trademarks, crime of infringing on commercial secrets, contract fraud and so on.
Prof. Chen Hongbing started from vivid cases, and explained the difficulties in understanding and applying the common key crimes in the chapter of economic crimes of the Criminal Law, such as the definition of crime and non-crime, the analysis of this crime and that crime, the determination of criminal form, the analysis of specific criminal acts, and other important and difficult issues in practice.
