On the morning of March 28, 2024, Chen Hongbing, professor and doctoral supervisor of Southeast University School of Law, was invited by the Legal Committee of Shenzhen Lawyers' Association for the Defense of Duty Crimes to give a lecture on Ideas of Defense of Duty Crimes. The lecture attracted members of the Committee, members of the Criminal Center, many criminal defense lawyers and criminal defense enthusiasts in Shenzhen, and nearly 1,000 people participated in the lecture online and offline.

In the lecture, Prof. Chen analyzed in-depth the ideas and methods of defending office crimes around a number of types of office crimes such as embezzlement, misappropriation of public funds, passive bribery, accepting bribes by using influence, active bribery, large amount of property of unknown origin, abuse of power, and favoritism and perverting the law. The lectures had both theoretical depth and a large number of actual cases, which provided valuable references and lessons for the participants. Participants have expressed that they have benefited a lot, and have a more in-depth knowledge and understanding of the defense of duty crimes.

After the lecture, Mr. Tan Zhongxuan, Director of the Vocational Defense Committee, gave a concluding speech. He expressed his gratitude to Prof. Tan for his wonderful sharing and spoke highly of the success of the lecture.

The success of this lecture not only provides a valuable learning opportunity for Shenzhen lawyers, but also injects a new impetus to promote the development of job crime defense work. The lecture was a complete success!
