In the afternoon of May 7, according to the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the CPC and the Regulations on the Election of Grass roots Organizations of the CPC, and with the approval of the UCPC, the party meeting of the School of Law of Southeast University of the CPC was grandly held in the Report Hall of Jizhong Building, Jiulong Lake Campus. Comrade Sun Litao, member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee and Vice President, Comrade Li Zhaohao, Deputy Director of the School Party Committee Office, and Comrade Sun Yan from the School Party Committee Propaganda Department visited the venue to guide the work.
263 formal party members from all faculty and students attended the conference, which was chaired by Comrade Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the Law School. This party member congress should have 294 formal party members, but 263 formal party members were actually present. More than four fifths of the formal party members should have been present, meeting the requirements for the number of attendees. The main agenda of this conference includes: firstly, to listen to and review the work report of the Committee of the Law School of Southeast University of the Communist Party of China; The second is to listen to and review the report on the collection, use, and management of party fees by the Law School Committee of Southeast University of the Communist Party of China; The third is to elect a new committee member of the Law School Committee of Southeast University of the Communist Party of China.
The conference kicked off with a solemn national anthem. Firstly, Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, delivered a work report on behalf of the current Party Committee titled "Comprehensively Promoting the Construction of First Class Law Schools through High Quality Party Building". The report reviewed the progress and achievements of the college party committee in various aspects such as party building, faculty, talent cultivation, disciplinary research, serving society, and international exchanges over the past five years. The report points out that in the past five years, the Party Committee of the college has made significant achievements in various undertakings under the guidance of high-quality Party building in the context of the new era. The Party's construction work continues to strengthen, the quality of discipline and talent cultivation continues to improve, the construction of talent teams is gradually strengthened, the achievements in serving social development are fruitful, breakthroughs have been made in international exchanges and cooperation, significant achievements have been made in ideological and political work, and the comprehensive guarantee ability has been significantly enhanced. The report not only reviews the achievements made in the past five years, but also analyzes the many difficulties and challenges faced on the way forward, and looks forward to the overall requirements and main goals for the next five years. The report points out that the Law School will be guided by the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and implement the four major projects of "Party building guidance, discipline climbing, talent strengthening, and governance efficiency improvement" around the school's "15th Five Year Plan", striving to build a first-class Law School with outstanding characteristics and contribute the wisdom and strength of the Law School to the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized country. Comrade Liu Qichuan's work report is comprehensive, detailed, and inspiring. All attending party members listened to and reviewed the work report, and unanimously passed it by raising their hands.

Under the leadership of Comrade Yang Jie, the chief vote taker, the attending formal party members cast their sacred and solemn votes. After statistics, the conference elected five comrades, Liu Qichuan, Chen Yun, Shan Pingji, Xiong Zhanglin, and Ji Yang (sorted by stroke of their surnames), as members of the new Party committee through differential voting. Comrade Chen Yun announced the list of elected members.
Comrade Liu Qichuan was elected as the Secretary of the Party Committee and Comrade Chen Yun was elected as the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee through anonymous voting. The meeting also discussed and determined the division of labor among the committee members. Vice President Sun Litao, on behalf of the school's Party committee, warmly congratulated the successful holding of the Law School Party Committee election conference and put forward three hopes for the new committee: first, to fully leverage organizational advantages, gather the strength of teachers, students, Party members, and play a pioneering and exemplary role; Secondly, we should fully leverage the macro leadership role, coordinate the development needs of the country, schools, and ourselves in the first year of the 15th Five Year Plan, and deploy the overall situation; Thirdly, we must actively strive and tackle challenges on the road to building first-class disciplines, and forge ahead around the goal of the school's "Double First Class" construction!
