On May 14th, the thesis defense meeting for the 2022 Master's program in Engineering Law at Southeast University Law School was held in the conference room on the 5th floor of the Law School at Jiulonghu Campus. The Master's students from the Engineering Law Group of the Law School in 2022 participated in the defense. Li Qing, associate professor and specially appointed researcher of Nanjing University Law School, was appointed as the chairman of the defense committee. Lawyer Feng Xianqin, partner of Dacheng (Nanjing) Law Firm, and Professor Zhang Yunhao from Southeast University Law School were appointed as members of the defense committee. Professor Xing Chenxi participated in the defense meeting as the secretary of the defense committee. The defense team strictly follows the requirements of normative documents such as the "Management Measures for the Whole Process of Graduate Thesis Quality of Southeast University Law School" and the "Working Measures for the Quality Guidance Group of Graduate Thesis of Southeast University Law School". The purpose of this defense meeting is to verify the research achievements of the engineering law group's master's students, promote academic exchange and improvement. Other master's students from the college attended the defense meeting.
This defense starts at 2:00 pm and lasts until around 5:00 pm. In the defense, seven students, Ding Yiyang, Gongzi Chen, Cheng Shutong, Sun Chang, Xu Rui, Yan Lu, and Zhao Wenxuan, gave detailed introductions on their respective thesis topics, research objectives, research content, research methods, key and difficult points, and innovative points. The teachers of the defense committee have put forward many targeted and constructive questions based on the content of the paper and student statements. The students also provided serious and detailed answers one by one, demonstrating solid academic foundation and good adaptability. During the defense, the atmosphere was serious and lively, with a strong academic atmosphere.
After the defense, all seven students' papers were carefully reviewed by the defense committee. The defense committee provided a comprehensive evaluation and detailed revision suggestions for each student's paper, offering valuable guidance for further improvement.
This defense meeting is not only a test of students' research achievements, but also an improvement of their academic abilities. Classmates have expressed that they will carefully consider the opinions and suggestions of the defense committee, further revise and improve the paper, and strive to make the research results more mature and in-depth. Finally, the defense of 7 engineering law master's students was successfully completed in a serious, tense, orderly, and professional atmosphere.
