On August 8, 2020, the Supreme People’s Court announced the results of the bid for major judicial research projects in 2020. A total of 122 eligible research groups submitted applications. After a rigorous review, 33 research groups were determined to be the winning research groups, of which Southeast University The research group chaired by Professor Ouyang Benqi, Director of the Research Center for Cybersecurity and Rule of Law, was awarded a major project of Research on Difficult Issues in Judicial Application of Information Cybercrime.
The major subject of judicial research of the Supreme People's Court aims to combine the work of the people's courts to provide corresponding countermeasures for the people's courts in the new era, such as building a country under the rule of law, deepening the comprehensive reform of the judicial accountability system, and building a fair, efficient and authoritative socialist judicial system. Professor Ouyang Benqi of our college won the bid for the Supreme People’s Court’s 2020 major judicial research project. This is a vivid manifestation of our hospital’s commitment to promoting the construction of the rule of law in China and realizing the university’s service to the society. It is also the network security law research center of Southeast University exerting the strength of the base team to promote the network Responsibility for safe construction. Southeast University Cybersecurity and Rule of Law Research Center is a model research base jointly established by the Central Cyberspace Administration of China and Southeast University. It is dedicated to research on the basic theories and legal applications of cybersecurity rule of law. It is believed that the research on information cybercrime through the research team of the base will add strength to the solid advancement of network security and the construction of network security ecology.
