On November 14, 2020, the high-end forum on rule of law and reform and law education forum in the digital age (2020) was held in Hangzhou. The forum was directed by China law society, sponsored by Zhejiang University, and jointly organized by the national 2011 plan · collaborative innovation center of judicial civilization, Guanghua Law School of Zhejiang University and Academy of Social Sciences of Zhejiang University. The theme of the forum is building a legal system and modernizing national governance.

The forum invited more than 100 law school leaders, first-class experts and scholars at home and abroad to participate in the forum to conduct in-depth discussions and extensive exchanges on the innovation of legal personnel training methods in the new era, promoting the integration of legal construction and reform and development, and helping the modernization of national governance system and Governance capacity, so as to provide new theoretical support for the country's future rule of law construction. Professor Wang Lusheng, vice president of the Institute, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech entitled the construction of new law branches in the digital age.

The rapid development of networking, digitization and intelligence has brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges to national governance, social governance and global governance. In order to meet the requirements of the new era, the construction of network power, digital China and smart society has become the mainstream of development. In the digital age, how to better promote the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity contains many legal propositions, which need to be deeply discussed and actively responded.
