From February 24th to 28th, 2026, the Chinese National Rounds of the 24th JESSUP International Law Moot Court Competition were held at the Haidian Campus of China University of Political Science and Law. After four intense rounds of round-robin matches over two days, the Southeast University team distinguished itself among 67 participating universities from across the country and ultimately won the National First Prize, achieving the best result in the university's history of participating in this competition! Additionally, student Yang Andi was honored with the Best Oralist award.

The team was coached by Professor Zhang Yue and Professor He Yingxin from the Southeast University Law School. The oralists were Captain Su Qian (2024 LLM student), Si Xiaotong (2023 undergraduate), Yang Andi (2023 undergraduate), and Fan Lingqi (2022 undergraduate). Li Yachen (2025 LLM student) served as the team researcher.

The Southeast University Law School team was officially formed in July 2025, adopting a full English training model. Following the release of the competition problem in September 2025, under the meticulous guidance of their coaches, all team members conducted in-depth and detailed legal research, read extensive literature, and carefully crafted their memorials, which were submitted in January 2026. Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, visited the preparation site multiple times to encourage the team. The preparation lasted nearly eight months, a period during which the coaches and every team member dedicated almost all their spare time to this event, known as the "Olympics" of the international law community. With the strong support of the Law School and the all-out efforts of the instructors and team members, they finally achieved this glorious victory.

The Southeast University Law School has always regarded supporting students' participation in major international competitions as a crucial way to strengthen the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents. This achievement marks another milestone in the training of foreign-related legal professionals, following the team's bronze medal win at the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition in 2025. Although this year's competition has concluded, the students of Southeast University Law School will never cease their exploration of foreign-related legal frontiers. We look forward to the Southeast University Law School team continuing to strive for excellence and achieve even greater success in future high-level international competitions, constantly writing a new chapter in the school's cultivation of foreign-related legal talents!
