Against the backdrop of New Humanities education in the new era, the School adopts “Embracing Culture” as its educational philosophy, “Pursuing Reason” as its core strategy, and “Cultivating the Self and Enabling Others” as its ultimate goal. By emphasizing rigorous knowledge and fostering well-rounded, independent character, we aim to cultivate outstanding future leaders in the rule of law who possess both virtue and talent, a modern understanding of legal governance, a strong sense of social responsibility, and a global perspective. Our undergraduate program is committed to developing high-caliber, interdisciplinary, practice-oriented, and innovative legal professionals.

The “Bingwen Liberal Arts Experimental Class” is a flagship interdisciplinary program established under Southeast University’s “Elite Humanities” development strategy. Inspired by the legacy of Gu Yuxiu—SEU’s first president and a leading pioneer of modern humanities education in China—the program integrates the strengths of the university’s humanities disciplines to nurture top-tier students with strong humanistic foundations and solid legal training. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum, carefully curated core courses, a comprehensive faculty-mentorship system, the signature course “Public Governance and the Development of Rule of Law,” distinguished-scholar lectures, master forums, and thematic seminars, the program builds a high-quality educational framework. Notably, the course Jurisprudence has been recognized as a National First-Class Undergraduate Course.
