The First Cross-Strait and China-Japan Medical Law International Academic Conference was jointly held by SEU and Southeast Judicial Appraisal Firm on May 24th ,2014. The famous professors and representatives from medical area attended the conference. The doctor-patient relationship has become a heated topic in the world, so the conference was intended to discuss and research this relationship and try to get some consensus on it.
The opening ceremony was held by Professor Liu Yanhong, who is the dean of law school. Professor Liu Bo, who is the vice president of SEU, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the background information of law school and SEU.
The conference was divided into four parts, each part had a special topic: they are “ Protection to the doctors and patients’ right and its relief”, “Medical tort and its civil liability”, “ The liability on the action of medical right”, “ The research to the law on judicial appraisal”. These four topics almost covered the heated topics in medical law area. The first part was held by Professor Wei Baoping, who is from Nanjing Normal University-Tai Zhou College. The second part was held by Mr. Shi Zhaorong, who is from the Taipei Medical Association. The third part was held by Professor Liu Yanhong, who is the dean of law school. The fourth part was held by Mr Tang Jun, who is form Department of Justice of Jiangsu Province.
The researchers and professors showed their opinions and discussed warmly about the topics above. At the end of the conference, all the people who attended the conference took photos together.
