Teacher Zhang Malin was invited to attend the 15th meeting of GCTC, held by NIST

Zhang Malin, a teacher from law school, who were working on postdoctoral research of engineering law in James Clark civil engineering school of the University of Maryland in USA, was honored to be invited to attend the 15th meeting of GCTC held by NIST in National Building Museum in Washington, represented the engineering law institute of SEU. The meeting on the one hand aimed to show the cutting-edge ideas of Smart City and Internet of Things, and cases about successful big data infrastructure. On the other hand, it prospected and discussed possible law and social problems that might involve about technology transfer, intellectual property, privacy protection, infrastructure administration, social security and etc. About 300 guests from governments, scientific institutions and international enterprises all over the world, including the king Willem Alexander and the queen Maxima of the Netherlands, the Transport Minister Anthony Foxx of the USA, the Foreign Minister Koenders of the Netherlands and the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Tom Kalil, had participated the conference. This meeting was an important portion of our plans to implement internationalization and develop interdiscipline subjects like engineering law.
