Professor Liu Yanhong, Professor Zhou Shaohua and associate Professor Liu Jianli attended the 5th Sino-Japanese Criminal Law Seminar

The 5th Sino-Japanese Criminal Law Seminar was held in Waseda University from October 2nd to 4th. Professor Liu Yanhong, Professor Zhou Shaohua and associate Professor Liu Jianli were invited to attend the meeting. The theme of the conference was “the basic theory and cutting-edge issues about Sino-Japanese criminal law”, which attracted over one hundred teachers and students from many universities in China and Japan.

Being entrusted by the organizer, Professor Liu Yanhong made a report about the criminal liability when unit committed crimes which were legally prescribed can only be committed by personnel, meanwhile made a speech in the closing ceremony; Professor Zhou Shaohua played host of the third topic about medical treatment and criminal law; associate Professor Liu Jianli made a statement about Euthanasia and Death with Dignity in China during the third topic, and did translation work in the closing ceremony.

This meeting deepened the academic exchange between famous law schools in China and Japan, and promoted the development of criminal law in our school as well.
