Professor Xiao Bing was invited to participate in the 11th WTO Law and China Forum

    From October 26 to October 28, 2018, the 11th WTO Law and China Forum cum Annual Conference of China Law Society World Trade Organization Law Research Association was held in Chongqing. The forum was co-sponsored by the China Law Society World Trade Organization Law Research Association and the School of International Law of Southwest University of Political Science and Law. More than 100 experts and scholars from the Chinese Law Society, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and China University of Political Science and Law attended the forum. Professor Xiao Bing of our law school and Doctor students Zhou Yanyun, Zhao Fan and Gao Shenjie were invited to participate in the conference.

  

    The forum held two side events and four issues around the 40th Anniversary of China's Reform and Opening and the WTO. As a commentator on the topic of WTO's Achievements, Dilemmas and Reforms, Professor Xiao Bing made an objective and pertinent evaluation of the speeches of the participants, and received strong recognition from the participants. Dr. Zhou Yanyun gave a keynote speech on the topic of  China-US (European) Economic and Trade Disputes and WTO.

  

    The forum discussed the hot issues of WTO predicament and reform, Sino-US economic and trade frictions, and the rule of law in the Belt and Road. It provided new ideas for practical department experts to define China's programs, and provided a new path for scholars to conduct academic research.
