According to the Implementation Measures for the Establishment of the Consultation Experts Database of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jiangsu Province (Su Renfa [2018] No. 29), the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jiangsu Province employed one hundred and forty-four experts to serve as decision-making consultants for the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress. A total of five professors were employed in our school. Professor Zhou Youyong, Professor Liu Yanhong,  Professor Meng Hongzhi and Professor Xiao Bing were experts in the legislative work consultation expert group. Professor Wang Jinyuan was an expert in the supervision of judicial work.

    On October 30, 2018, the appointment ceremony of the legislative decision-making consultants of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jiangsu Province was successfully held. Professor Meng Hongzhi and Professor Xiao Bing attended the appointment ceremony on behalf of our professors and accepted the appointment certificate.

     Appointing experts and scholars as decision-making consultants can improve the quality and level of the provincial people's congress and its standing committees, and promote the scientific and democratic decision-making. Our law school has always actively advocated the scientific research concept of “academic achievements should serve the overall situation of social governance and help the country to build the rule of law.” It practiced this concept that the five professors were hired as decision-making consultants.
