On the journey of promoting Chinese-style modernization, it is necessary to actively carry forward the spirit of the Constitution and safeguard the authority of the Constitution, and it is also necessary to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, so as to make more talents with firm ideals and beliefs in the rule of law become loyal admirers, conscientious abiders, and staunch defenders of the Constitution, and to help promote the modernization of the Chinese-style with an enterprising spirit.

In order to respond positively to the Party and the State on the rule of law and Chinese-style modernization of the major strategic plan, Southeast University School of Law has been carefully guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Law Society, and in the school Party Committee Propaganda Department, the school Party Committee Department of Academic Work, the school Party Committee Department of Research and Work, the school Youth League Committee and the school's legal system office of the joint efforts of the joint efforts of the school Party Committee and the school's publicity department, the school Party Committee Department of Academic Work, the school League Committee and the school's legal system work office, to actively plan, organize and carry out the Jiangsu colleges and universities to carry forward the spirit of the Constitution Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law to lead the modernization of Chinese style speech contest league final. Led by Southeast University, Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, Soochow University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Hohai University, Jiangnan University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing University of Technology, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Nanjing Audit University, Jiangsu Normal University, Yangzhou University, Jiangsu University, Changzhou University, China University of Mining and Technology, Nanjing Forestry University, Jiangsu Ocean University, Jiangsu Police College, Nanjing University of Information Engineering, Huaiyin Normal University, Jiangsu Institute of Finance and Economics, and 23 other colleges and universities have formed an alliance unit, together setting off another round of learning and implementing the spirit of the Constitution and Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law.

On December 2, 2023, the Speech Contest League of Jiangsu Universities on Carrying forward the Spirit of the Constitution and Leading Chinese Modernization with Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law was held at the Jiulonghu Campus of Southeast University.

The tournament specially invited Gao Yuan, secretary-general of Jiangsu Law Society, Xu Jiantong, director of Jiangsu Judicial Department, Yuan Yimin, former first-class researcher of Jiangsu Education Department, Liu Yefeng, deputy director of Jiangsu Youth League Committee, Tang Haiyong, third-class researcher of Jiangsu Propaganda Department, Ding Guofeng, head of Jiangsu Reporter Station of Rule of Law Daily, and Shen Rufa, deputy director of Jiangsu Branch of Xinhua News Agency, to be the judges of the tournament. Heavyweight guests served as judges of the competition.

After the speech, 2023 Jiangsu Province universities carry forward the spirit of the Constitution to Xi Jinping rule of law to lead the modernization of the Chinese style Speech Contest League Final Outstanding Organization Award Award Ceremony was held, Xing Jihong, deputy secretary of the award-winning universities such as Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, Hohai University and other winning universities awarded the Outstanding Organization Award plaque and took a group photo together.

Afterwards, the final round of the Speech Contest League Carrying forward the Spirit of the Constitution and Leading Chinese Modernization with Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law was officially held in the universities of Jiangsu Province in the year of 2023. The 14 groups of finalists who had gone through the selection process made 6-minute speeches centering on the theme of scientific legislation, strict law enforcement, fair justice, and law-abiding by all people, reflecting the big theme with small cuts, and telling the big truths with small stories, and expressing the importance of establishing the awareness of the Constitution, abiding by the principles of the Constitution, promoting the spirit of the Constitution, and promoting the modernization of China with Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law. The content of the speech was very innovative, attractive and contagious, expressing the firm belief in establishing constitutional awareness, abiding by the principles of the Constitution, carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution and fulfilling the mission of the Constitution, and showing the strong sense of mission and responsibility of the contemporary college students in carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution and adhering to the Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, which won the audience applause.

After all the players finished, students from Nanhua County National High School in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, traveled across the mountains and rivers to send a special gift for the competition - the special program School-Land Co-construction - Constitution Day Gift of Nanhua County National High School in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The special program narrated the results of the rule of law practice achieved by Nanhua County in Yunnan Province under the targeted assistance of Southeast University School of Law, which vividly showed the high morale of Nanhua students in carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution and Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law, and brightened up the brand of Dongda of rule of law publicity and education.

After the fair evaluation by the experts and teachers, the host announced the results of the competition, and a grand award ceremony was held on the spot. Wang Rui from Nanjing University and Liu Zuning from Nanjing Normal University won the first prize. Xie Jun from Southeast University, Wang Zilu from Soochow University, Deng Xi Yuan from Jiangsu Normal University, Huang Lingna from Nanjing University of Technology, and Yang Shu Han from Hohai University were awarded the second prize. Finally, the award ceremony of the Ninth Campus Rule of Law Culture Festival of Southeast University was held at the activity site. At this point, the 2023 Jiangsu Provincial Universities Speech Contest League Carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution and leading the modernization of Chinese style with Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law came to a successful conclusion. 

The event was also invited to the Rule of Law Daily Jiangsu Reporter Station, Jiangsu Education Newspaper, Jiangsu Provincial Radio and Television General Radio and Television News Center, and other media for simultaneous coverage of the event, and the Director of the President's Office, Jimin, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the University, Qiu Feng, and the Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the University, Song Jiangang, were interviewed on behalf of the Southeast University by the Jiangsu Satellite Television.

This speech contest is conducive to strengthening the study and research of Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, cultivating the belief in the rule of law and the spirit of the rule of law among teachers and students, realizing the full integration of respect for the law, learning the law, abiding by the law and using the law, and enhancing the identification of teachers and students with the spirit of the Constitution and Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law in the strong atmosphere of the culture of the rule of law, so as to make the spirit of the rule of law truly internalized in the mind and externalized.

The rise of the rule of law is the rise of the country, the rule of law is the strength of the country. On the way forward, only by vigorously carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution, enhancing the consciousness of the Constitution, and integrating Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law into the whole process of knowing, learning, abiding by, and using the law, can we better play the role of the fundamental law of the Constitution, and give play to Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law in the new era of the comprehensive rule of law in accordance with the state's leading role. The School of Law of Southeast University will also take this as its mission, study and implement the spirit of the Constitution and the core essence of Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law in a more in-depth manner, urge young students of Southeast University to consciously safeguard the spirit of the Constitution and promote Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, stimulate the power of youth, answer the questions of youth, take on the responsibility of youth, and help to write a new answer to the modernization of the Chinese style on the track of the rule of law.
