On December 2, the inaugural meeting and 2023 annual meeting of the Foreign Rule of Law Research Society of Jiangsu Law Society was held in Nanjing.

The meeting elected the first session of the Council and members of the leadership team, and centered on the theme of promoting the construction of the 'Belt and Road' high-quality development of foreign-related rule of law protection to carry out seminars and exchanges. Zhou Jiye, president of the provincial law society, attended and delivered a speech.

Representatives of Southeast University School of Law teachers and students participated in this meeting, Professor Xiao Bing was elected as Vice President of Jiangsu Law Society Foreign-related Rule of Law Research Association, and Associate Professors Ye Quan, Yu Wenjie, Yi Bo, and Zhang Yue were elected as councilors. Mr. Yi Bo made a report entitled Study on the Application of Foreign State Immunity Law in People's Courts: Judicial Challenges and Prospects in the New Era, which was highly evaluated by the delegates. In addition, our graduate students, Shen Jie, Li Qinqian, Xue Yan and Tang Jingyan, also participated in the conference.

During the conference, our faculty and students had a full exchange with the delegates on foreign-related rule of law research and talent cultivation, which strengthened the contact between our foreign-related rule of law team and our sister colleges and universities inside and outside the province, and helped to further improve the cultivation program of foreign-related rule of law talents in our school.
