From December 3 to 6, the final round of China International Student Innovation Competition (2023) was held in Tianjin University.Our Legal AI Revolution team won the silver medal of the national competition, which is the best achievement of the project led by the liberal arts faculty of Southeast University in this competition.
China International Student Innovation Competition is organized by the Ministry of Education and other 12 departments together with Tianjin Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by Tianjin University. This year, a total of 4.21 million projects from 5,296 schools in 151 countries and regions at home and abroad, 17.09 million people registered to participate in the competition, and 1,260 outstanding projects stood out and participated in the final stage of the live competition from December 3 to 6 at Tianjin University.
The project Legal AI Revolution consists of Zhou Wufan, Xu Tingasa, Zhang Yujie, Zhou Shiqi, Zhang Yijiao, Long Xuan, Huang Wenjie, Yuan Zhaohan, Zhu Qianyi, Ma Jinfei, Bi Sheng, and Lin Fan, and is supervised by Wang Lusheng, Xu Minchuan, Chia Guilin, Cai Yuping, and Miao Zeyi. The team's project successfully unveiled KU Xunfe's proposition Application of Big Model Technology to Professional Modeling in New Liberal Arts in the industrial track of the competition. The project focuses on the field of legal big model, relying on the People's Court Judicial Big Data Research Base of Southeast University, highly matches the results of years of deep cultivation with the needs of the enterprise proposition, and creates a Chinese legal generative artificial intelligence application, utilizing the rich proprietary data and technical experience accumulated during the eight years of research and development, and realizing a number of intelligent services, such as knowledge retrieval, case analysis, and drafting of documents, based on the trustworthy homemade big model base researched and developed by KDXF, to help build China's intelligent rule of law. Since the formation of the Legal AI Revolution team, the team has been actively concerned about the development of artificial intelligence in China. After the release of the enterprise proposition, the team went to KU Xunfei for a site visit, and discussed the cooperation plan with KU Xunfei AI Research Institute, the Department of Justice, the Department of Industry and Education Integration, and other departments, and the relevant technology path and business model have been recognized by industry experts. During the process of project promotion, the instructors always pay attention to the project trends, help the team optimize the roadshow and defense materials, and play a key role in the cooperation with Xunfei and the project's program structure. Finally, after several rounds of selection in the school competition, provincial competition, provincial qualifying rounds, and national online evaluation rounds, the team's project advanced to the final round of the national competition in the industrial track, and won the national silver medal of China International Student Innovation Competition.
In 2023, Southeast University School of Law won 4 national and provincial awards in the Ninth China International Student Innovation Competition, creating a record high in the number of awards won by Southeast University School of Law in the Internet+ competition.
