From December 23rd to 24th, 2023, Jizhi High-end Forum on State Governance was successfully held in Jinan, Shandong Province. This forum was hosted by Shandong University and organized by Shandong University Institute of National Governance and Shandong University Center for Think Tank Construction, with the theme of National Governance in the Process of Chinese Modernization. Prof. Meng Hongzhi, Prof. Liu Qichuan, Lecturer Zhang Yunhao, Dr. Du Zhonghao, Dr. Chen Zhenqi, Dr. Yuan Haoqiang and other students and faculty members of the School were invited to participate in the forum.

In the first module of the parallel sub-forum II Rule of Law Government Construction in the Process of Chinese Modernization, Prof. Meng Hongzhi made a presentation entitled Promoting the Construction of Rule of Law System for Public Health Emergency Response with Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law, and Prof. Liu Qichuan made a presentation entitled We Should Be Wary of the 'Rule of Law'. Prof. Meng Hongzhi made a report entitled Promoting the construction of public health emergency rule of law system with Xi Jinping's rule of law thought, and Prof. Liu Qichuan made a report entitled We should be vigilant against 'administration according to list'. In the Youth Forum of the third module Public Law Theory and Practice in the Process of Chinese Modernization, Lecturer Zhang Yunhao, Dr. Chen Zhenqi, Dr. Du Zhonghao, and Dr. Yuan Haoqiang made reports respectively.

In the concluding session, Prof. Meng Hongzhi of Southeast University, Prof. Xiao Jinming of Shandong University, and Prof. Liu Songshan, a researcher of National Governance Research Institute of Shandong University, reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between Southeast University and Shandong University, and hoped that the two universities can continue to carry out closer cooperation and wider study and exchange activities in the future, so as to inject more momentum into the construction of law disciplines and cultivation of talents of the two universities.
