On December 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm, the Seventh International Young Scholars Forum of Southeast University--School of Law Sub-Forum was held punctually in Room 413 of the Law School. Prof. Ouyang Benqi, Dean of the Law School of Southeast University, Prof. Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, Prof. Shan Pingji, Vice Dean of the Law School, Prof. Yang Dengfeng, Director of the Academic Committee, and other leaders and teachers of the 12 colleges, and 8 young talents from all over the world gathered by the shore of Jiulong Lake to participate in this meeting. This sub-forum was hosted by Associate Professor Ye Quan, Deputy Director of Talent Office of the university.

First of all, Dean Ouyang Benqi expressed his warm greetings and thanks to the participating teachers and young scholars. After making a special introduction to the basic overview, faculty pattern, academic research and talent treatment of Southeast University School of Law, Dean Ouyang Benqi also systematically explained the excellent tradition of Southeast University School of Law of academic supremacy, scientific research, and strong hospital, and issued a warm invitation to all the young talents to join the law school of Southeast University.

Later, in the stage of keynote speech, a total of eight young scholars from the University of Sussex, Luxembourg, Max Planck Institute, Kobe University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nanjing University, China University of Political Science and Law, and other colleges and research institutes carried out a wonderful keynote report on their personal academic experience, research and career planning, etc., and all the young scholars at the meeting expressed their expectations of entering the law school of Southeast University and working for the law school. The young scholars in attendance expressed their expectations and prospects of entering the School of Law of Southeast University.

Next, Associate Professor Feng Yuqing, Deputy Director of Personnel Department of the University, and Mr. Bi Wenxuan, a young teacher of the School, made speeches respectively. Associate Professor Feng Yuqing expressed his warm welcome to the young scholars, at the same time, he also pointed out the unique charm of Nanjing and the tradition of Southeast University in loving and cherishing talents, and said that all the young talents would be able to get better development in the favorable growth environment after joining Southeast University. Mr. Bi Wenxuan also said that after joining Dongda University, all young talents can enjoy a more superior research environment, a more pleasant working atmosphere and more harmonious relationship with colleagues, and will certainly be able to achieve more remarkable achievements in their future academic careers.

Finally, Prof. Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Law School of Southeast University, summarized the meeting. First of all, Prof. Liu Qichuan fully affirmed the wonderful reports of the young talents and highly appreciated their vitality and fruitful results. Secondly, Liu Qichuan introduced that the school and the college have always attached great importance to the construction of academic ecology and scientific research environment, and Southeast University School of Law has a warm and sharp nurturing culture and pure academic environment formed for many years, and in recent years, under the joint efforts of all the teachers, the School of Law has achieved a leapfrog development in teaching and scientific research, and won the recognition of all walks of life in the community. Finally, Mr. Liu Qichuan, secretary of the school, said that he strives to provide all-round services for young talents and looks forward to joining Dongdao University with a promising future.

This International Young Scholars Forum Law School sub-forum has gained wide attention and high praise from the participating scholars, formed an academic business card and an important platform for the exchange and communication between Southeast University School of Law and young leaders in the field of law, and provided a very important boost for the development of the law discipline of Southeast University and the education of legal talents.
