On December 29, 2023, the report meeting for doctoral students studying abroad was held in the Big Data Conference Room of the Law School of the Jiulonghu Campus, sponsored by the Local Legislation Research Base of Jiangsu Province and the Rule of Law Government Research Center of Southeast University. Dr. Zeng Yamei, a doctoral student jointly trained by the School of Law of Southeast University and the University of Göttingen, Germany, made a presentation with the theme of Think Carefully and Cautiously, Expand Your Cognition - Summarization and Sharing of One-Year Scholarship Program Experience in Joint Training by the China Scholarship Council. Prof. Meng Hongzhi, Mr. Zhang Yunhao, Mr. Wu Dongxing,  nearly 30 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students from the base, as well as other invited students, attended the briefing. 

Zeng Yamei, the debriefer, started the debriefing from three chapters: study and research, life in the university town, culture and entertainment, and gave a vivid and interesting introduction of classroom study, literature collection and reading, writing, life and cultural experience during the one-year study in Germany. In the chapter of Study and Research, Zeng Yamei introduced the German literature database and searching path, electronic dictionary of German legal terminology, the cultivation method of German law doctor and team atmosphere, etc., based on her own scientific research topic. In the chapter of Life in University Towns, Zeng Yamei introduced the life in traditional European university towns with the key words of no gates, no walls, and centered on colleges, and explained the precautions to be taken by the domestic doctoral students when they go to study in German universities through the path of public joint training of China Scholarship Council. In the chapter of Culture and Entertainment , Zeng Yamei introduced the cities and regions she visited in Germany with the key words of European traditional architecture, German car companies, museum culture, and especially introduced the harvest and feelings of visiting the former residence of Karl Marx.

After the report, the participants exchanged their learning experience with each other according to the content of the report, and further talked about the issues of contacting foreign colleges and universities, and registration status of foreign universities. Finally, Prof. Meng Hongzhi summarized the briefing in terms of encouraging students to carry out international exchanges, keeping in touch with the German tutors and expanding the team's international vision. The debriefing was successfully concluded.

The college and the base attach great importance to the cultivation of international talents, and consistently encourage teachers and students to actively declare overseas study programs. In the next step, the base will further develop new international exchange platforms to provide more opportunities for international talent training and international academic exchanges.
