On the afternoon of January 10, 2024, Ji Wei, Secretary of the Party Group of the Provincial Law Society and full-time Vice President of the Provincial Law Society, and his party visited the Law School of Southeast University to carry out research on the work of the Research Society. Gao Yuan, Secretary General of the Provincial Law Society and Director of the Secretariat, Shen Dingcheng, Deputy Director of the Research Division of the Provincial Law Society, Mao Jing, Second Grade Director of the Research Division of the Provincial Law Society, Prof. Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School of Southeast University, Prof. Wang Lusheng, Director of the Division of Social Sciences of Southeast University and Chairman of the Research Society of Law of Southeast University. Prof. Wang Lusheng, President of the Law Research Society of Southeast University, Prof. Xiong Zhanglin, Vice Dean of the Law School and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Southeast Law, Prof. Meng Hongzhi, President of the Legislation Research Society of the Provincial Law Society, Prof. Yang Dengfeng, Director of the Academic Committee of the Law School, Prof. Gong Xianghe, President of the Education Law Research Society of the Provincial Law Society, Prof. Yu Lixhen, President of the Engineering Law Research Society of the Provincial Law Society, Prof. Liu Lianjun, President of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Law Research Society of the Provincial Law Society, and Prof. Qian Xiaoping, Secretary General of Criminology Research Society of Law Society, attended the research. Prof. Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, presided over the seminar.

Before the beginning of the symposium, the delegation of the provincial law society visited the site of the Second Congress of the Chinese Socialist Youth League and the School History Hall of Southeast University and experienced the century-long schooling history of Southeast University.

At the beginning of the symposium, Prof. Liu Qichuan expressed his warm welcome and sincere thanks to the delegation of the Provincial Law Society and introduced the development history, scientific research achievements, student training, and the head of the research association of Southeast University Law School.

Mr. Ji Wei, the secretary of the provincial law society, clarified the theme of the research, saying that the research mainly includes understanding the progress of the research association's work, the publication status of legal journals, and collecting opinions and suggestions on the work of the provincial legal association.

Next, Prof. Xiong Zhanglin reported on the founding and development, current situation and problems, as well as the outlook and needs of Southeast Law.

The person in charge of each research society reported on the work of the society: Prof. Meng Hongzhi said that the Research Society of Legislation has actively participated in the legislative practice in recent years, maintained close contact with experts and scholars in Shandong, Guangzhou and other places, and played a strong radiating role;

Prof. Gong Xianghe summarized the work carried out by the Education Law Research Association in the past two years since its establishment, and expressed his expectation for strengthening the connection between education administration and universities through the Provincial Law Society;

Prof. Wang Lusheng centered on renaming and establishing China's first digital jurisprudence research association, establishing two bases for digital economy and digital prosecution and three platforms for organizing the annual meeting, collecting innovative cases of intelligent rule of law and offline tour exhibition  introduced the situation of the Digital Law Research Society;

Prof. Yu Lishen reported the construction history, outstanding contributions and self-construction of the Engineering Law Research Society, and put forward the existing problems of the Society that need to be solved urgently;

Prof. Liu Lianjun pointed out the problems that the Research Society of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Law was limited by the research direction, and the management was inconvenient as there were fewer experts in related fields in the Research Society;

Associate Professor Qian Xiaoping explained in detail the work of the Criminology Research Society around practical work, think tank research and social service.

The Provincial Law Society affirmed the work of the Research Society of Southeast University Law School and answered the relevant questions raised by the person in charge of the Research Society. Mr. Ji Wei expressed his gratitude for the sincere suggestions of the people in charge of the research society, and pointed out that the provincial law society will continue to strengthen political leadership, serve the practice of the rule of law and optimize the service management. He hoped that the Research Institute and the Law Society will form a synergy in management, communication and synergy, unite as one, and strive for success. Mr. Gao Yuan said that he would do a good job in the construction of the Institute's services, smooth communication channels between universities and the provincial law society, and realize the integration and development of law societies and universities in party building, talents, periodicals and other resources.

Mr. Shen Dingcheng pointed out that the work of Southeast University Law School's research society has cross, quality and highlights, which deserves high affirmation.

Finally, Prof. Liu Qichuan said that Southeast University School of Law will continue to cooperate with the work of the Provincial Law Society and conscientiously implement the tasks entrusted to it. He also expressed his expectation that the Provincial Law Society will relax the access mechanism of cross disciplines, establish the assessment mechanism of research societies, stabilize the two-way communication mechanism between the Provincial Law Society and universities, and expressed his thanks again for the concern of Secretary Ji Wei and his entourage.
