At noon on September 12, the mobilization meeting for the 2022 undergraduates of the College to preach the diversion of the special direction of engineering law was successfully held. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Shan Pingji, Dean Ouyang Benqi of the School of Law, Associate Dean Xiong Zhanglin, the discipline leader of engineering law, Associate Professor Wang Weiling, Associate Professor Zhang Malin, Associate Professor Gao Ge, Mr. Xing Chenxi, Mr. Chang Tengyuan, Mr. Zhang Yunhao, as well as the representative of the excellent students of Engineering Law Class 21, Wang Hao, and all the undergraduates of the School of Law in the class of 2022, took part in the diversion preaching meeting.

At the beginning of the lecture, Dean Ouyang Benqi delivered a speech. Dean Ouyang said that with the development of economy and society, today's law cultivates must be the cross of literature and industry, the integration of literature and science, the integration of East and West, the unity of knowledge and action of the composite talents, engineering law as the law school actively explore the important results of cross-disciplinary, for the cultivation of composite talents is of great significance.

Secondly, Vice Dean Xiong Zhanglin gave the 2022 undergraduates a “big gift” for the special direction of engineering law - “Guidelines of Southeast University School of Law on the Further Development of the Engineering Law Program”, which analyzed why the opinion was issued from two aspects, namely the foundation of the School and the current situation and problems facing the diversion of the engineering law program. Mr. Xiong Zhanglin, Vice Dean of the School, analyzed why the opinion was issued and introduced in detail the preferential policies of the opinion for the students of engineering law direction, and expressed his earnest hope for the students to join the direction of engineering law from the perspective of engineering law and the foundation of Southeast University School of Law, and the current situation of the diversion of engineering law majors and the problems faced by the students.

Then, Mr. Xing Chenxi, Director of the Engineering Law Teaching and Research Department, gave a detailed introduction to the students from the development history of engineering law, introduction of the discipline, scientific research achievements, practical cooperation and prospects for the development of engineering law.

Then, Wang Hao, the representative of outstanding students in the direction of engineering law, shared his experience and insights of studying engineering law with the students from the aspects of disciplinary concerns and academic advantages.

Finally, the teachers of the engineering law team shared their views on the characteristic direction of undergraduate engineering law from different angles.

Mr. Gao Ge further introduced the development prospects and preferential policies for the cultivation of engineering law talents in our college, and expressed his hope that students would make good use of the learning platform provided by the college within the framework of law to conduct research and study of engineering law.

Mr. Zhang Malin pointed out that the engineering law program of Southeast University fully integrates the engineering advantages of Southeast University, and its unique cross-disciplinary characteristics make it show significant advantages in academic research and practical application, and the engineering law program has a very broad prospect in the future development.

Ms. Wang Weiling explained the employment advantages of choosing the direction of engineering law from the perspective of social demand of talent cultivation.

Mr. Chang Teng Yuan made a further introduction in terms of the course curriculum and teaching mode of the special direction of engineering law as well as the career prospects.

Mr. Zhang Yunhao said that engineering law, as an important type of sub-thesis under the general theory of administrative law, has an important role and significance in filling the gaps in your existing knowledge, and that the engineering law team will do its best to cultivate your interest while making you gain a lot of benefits, and hoped that you could join the engineering law team.

Through this diversion lecture, the grade 22 undergraduates have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the direction of engineering law, and a deep understanding of the choice of study direction. The lecture answered the confusion about the professional diversion for the 2022 undergraduates of the School of Law, introduced in detail the cultivation program and curriculum planning of the special direction of engineering law of Southeast University, and laid a solid foundation for the good diversion of law majors and talent cultivation of this grade.
