On the morning of September 21, Professor Wang Lusheng and his entourage from the Digital Law Team of Southeast University went to the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Wisdom Justice of Southwest University of Political Science and Law for research. The team observed the construction and research results of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Wisdom Justice, and exchanged talks on related issues. Professor Wang Lusheng and his team first visited the exhibition hall of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Intelligent Justice. President Liang Kun and Associate Professor Xiang Jing, Director of the Research Office of the Engineering Research Center, introduced the research results of the Engineering Research Center to Prof. Wang Lusheng and his delegation in detail, demonstrated the integrated service platform for litigation and petition, the innovative intelligent follow-up and warning model for mental disorders, and the facial AI emotion recognition system, and shared the experience of the Engineering Research Center's technological innovations and industrial applications in the area of intelligent governance.
The symposium was hosted and addressed by Dean Liang Kun. Dean Liang Kun firstly welcomed the visit of Professor Wang Lusheng and his delegation, and further introduced the construction process and research focus of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Wisdom Justice of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and expressed the desire to strengthen the cooperation between the two teams in the future. Vice President Huang Rui introduced the basic situation of the center in detail around the three key focus areas of smart governance, smart investigation and smart public security. Associate Professor Yu Yanlin shared his valuable experience in declaring and building engineering research centers and other aspects.
Professor Wang Lusheng introduced the basic situation and construction progress of the law discipline of Southeast University and the digital law team of Southeast University, and highly recognized the distinctive features of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Intelligent Justice of Southwest University of Political Science and Law in the research of intelligent justice, and hoped that the two teams could strengthen the exchanges and cooperation in disciplinary construction and the construction of research platforms in the future.
At the meeting, the two sides also made in-depth exchanges on the construction of liberal arts laboratories, the transformation of scientific research results and university-enterprise cooperation, the construction of digital law microspecialties, and the promotion of external resource integration through the platform of laboratories or engineering research centers, and shared their experiences with each other. Both sides recognized the different problems that intelligent judicial research and digital law discipline construction may face in different contexts. Both sides should give full play to their respective disciplinary advantages and promote cross-cooperation between humanities disciplines such as law and engineering disciplines in research and talent cultivation.
