On September 20-22, 2024, the 2024 Annual Conference of Administrative Law Research Society of China Law Society was successfully held in Baoding, Hebei Province. Organized by the Administrative Law Research Society of China Law Society and hosted by Hebei University, the theme of this annual conference was “The Construction of an Autonomous Knowledge System of Administrative Law in China”. The leaders of the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Ministry of Justice and other departments, more than 500 experts and scholars from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (National School of Administration), the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Chinese University of Political Science and Law, the Central and South China University of Economics and Law, the Southwest University of Political Science and Law, the East China University of Political Science and Law, the Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Hebei University and other colleges and research institutions attended the meeting. Experts and scholars attended the meeting. Professor Meng Hongzhi, Associate Researcher Zheng Xiaojun, Lecturer Zhang Yunhao, and doctoral students Zeng Yamei, Chen Zhenqi and Du Zhonghao were invited to attend the conference.

The conference focuses on “Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law and the Construction of the Disciplinary System of Administrative Law in China”, “Basic Concepts and Scope of Administrative Law in China”, “Codification and the New Development of Chinese Administrative Law ““Chinese Modernization and the Innovative Development of Chinese Administrative Law” “Chinese Modernization and the Institutional Reform of Administrative Law” “New Development of the Rule of Law on Administrative Remedies “ and other topics were discussed. Prof. Meng Hongzhi acted as a commentator in Sub-forum (I) “Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law and the Construction of the Disciplinary System of Chinese Administrative Law”; Associate Researcher Zheng Xiaojun made a speech in Sub-forum (III) “Codification and New Development of Administrative Law in China” entitled Zheng Xiaojun, Associate Researcher, made a report entitled “Rethinking and Revising Administrative Law” in the third sub-forum “Codification and New Development of Chinese Administrative Law”.

The comments and reports of Professor Meng Hongzhi and Associate Researcher Zheng Xiaojun of our institute were unanimously praised by the participants, which demonstrated the academic strength and research level of the administrative law discipline of our institute and enhanced the influence of the administrative law teaching and research team of our institute in the academic world.
