On September 21st, Prof. Yin Ji was invited to attend the “Seminar on the Legislative Requirements of the General Principles of Commercial Law”. The seminar was jointly organized by the Law School of Nanjing University (Commercial Law Research Center), the Commercial Law Research Society of China Law Society, and the Commercial Law Research Society of Jiangsu Provincial Law Society. Zhou Jiye, president of the provincial law society, Wang Laosheng, deputy secretary of the sub-party group of the Legal Affairs Committee of the provincial people's congress, Gao Jianxin, director of the provincial CPPCC proposal committee, more than 40 people from Jiangsu and Shanghai court system engaged in the commercial, criminal and administrative trial business of the senior judges, experts from universities and so on appeared in the meeting. Prof. Fan Jian, Vice President of the Commercial Law Research Society of the China Law Society and Professor of the Law School of Nanjing University, introduced the background of the study and formulation of the General Principles of Commercial Law and the relevant intentions of the relevant central ministries and commissions.
Prof. Yin Ji delivered a second round of speeches on the necessity, feasibility and path of formulating the General Principles of Commercial Law, and moderated a modular seminar on “Judicial Responses to the Protection of Private Enterprises and the Needs of Commercial Legislation”.
