The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Network and Information Law Society of the China Law Society and the Second Digital Rule of Law Conference, organized by the Network and Information Law Society of the China Law Society, hosted by Yunnan University and co-organized by Yunnan Big Data Co., Ltd., was held on September 21, 2024 in Kunming, Yunnan. The theme of this year's conference is “Rule of Law Guarantees for the Development of New Productivity and Thirty Years of Network Rule of Law”. Associate Professor Ren Danli and Associate Professor Ji Yang were invited to attend the conference.

The opening ceremony of the conference was held at 9:00 a.m. at the Haiji Hotel in Yunnan, presided over by Jiang Wei, vice president of the China Law Society, president of the Research Society of Network and Information Law, and deputy director of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme People's Court. Zhang Sujun, member of the party group and vice president of China Law Society, Zhang Taiyuan, president of Yunnan Law Society, Li Tong, deputy director of the 11th Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and first-class inspector, and Zhou Xuebin, secretary of the Party Committee of Yunnan University, delivered speeches successively.

Associate Professor Ren Danli of the School of Law exchanged views with the participating experts on the paper “Construction of Compensation System for Data Sharing from Enterprises to the Government” in Sub-forum VI “Data Security Governance and Rule of Law Construction in Data Market”. In the closing ceremony, Associate Professor Ji Yang reported on behalf of the School of Law about the hosting of the next annual conference and extended a sincere invitation to the experts.
