Professor Chen Hongbing Was Invited to Give a Series of Lectures on "Criminal Law, Angel or Devil?" For Graduate Students in Humanities And Scientific Literacy

On the evening of November 26th at 19:00, Chen Hongbing, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Law of Southeast University, was invited by the School of Energy and Environment of Southeast University to give a special lecture on Criminal Law, Is It an Angel or a Devil. This lecture was held simultaneously at the Runliang Lecture Hall and Tencent Meeting in Jiulonghu Campus. Students from different majors and grades participated in the lecture, with a limit of 600 offline and 200 online.

 

In the lecture, Professor Chen used both serious and humorous language to explain his understanding of criminal law, inspiring everyone to think about what criminal law is. Subsequently, Professor Chen used sixteen real cases to explain which behaviors constitute crimes and which behaviors do not, such as how to determine poisoning and intentional homicide, how to solve railway problems, and what are the conviction criteria for traffic accident and intentional destruction of property crimes. He also answered these questions one by one and explained the corresponding legal provisions.

 

Professor Chen Hongbing is proficient in both theory and practice, with a deep and easy to understand approach. His lectures are full of practical knowledge and thought-provoking. At the end of the lecture, students asked Professor Chen questions about their own concerns, and Professor Chen provided detailed answers. The audience expressed great inspiration and benefited greatly.

 

Some students expressed their gratitude to scholars like Mr. Chen who are capable, passionate, and have passion for teaching here, bringing the classroom, lectures, ideas, souls, and laws to life. Some students also expressed their determination to study criminal law with the teacher. This lecture was a complete success!
