On the morning of January 20th, the Law School of Southeast University held the 2024 Leadership Democratic Life Conference. Sun Litao, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Southeast University, and all members of the leadership team of the Law School attended the meeting. Sheng Peiwen, discipline inspector and deputy director of the General Affairs Department of the Discipline Inspection Committee of Southeast University, also attended as a non voting delegate. The meeting was chaired by Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School.

Before the meeting, the Party Committee of the Law School attached great importance to this democratic life meeting, studied and formulated work plans, conducted in-depth theoretical learning, comprehensively identified prominent issues, extensively solicited opinions and suggestions, carefully wrote materials for the leadership team's comparative inspection and personal speech outlines, and laid a solid ideological foundation for holding the democratic life meeting. Liu Qichuan reported on the implementation of the fourth round of special inspections and rectification measures by the 15th school party committee, as well as the solicitation of opinions at this democratic life meeting. The representative team conducted a comparative inspection, deeply analyzed the causes of the problems, analyzed typical cases, and proposed targeted rectification ideas and future work directions. The members of the party member team make personal speeches and engage in self-criticism in turn. The team members engage in mutual criticism, go straight to the topic, face problems, communicate candidly, unite and help each other, and achieve the goal of unified thinking and common progress.

Vice President Sun Litao commented that the preparation work for the democratic life meeting of the college was fully and effectively carried out. The analysis of problems was closely combined with reality, and the speech was substantial. The requirements of putting oneself in, putting work in, and responsibilities in were implemented, reflecting the spirit of self revolution and achieving good results. He sorted out the historical origins of the formation of the democratic life meeting system, pointing out that the democratic life meeting is an important way to promote intra party democracy, strengthen intra party supervision, and rely on the leadership team's own strength to internally resolve conflicts and problems. The democratic life meeting should follow the principle of unity criticism unity, point out problems to each other on the basis of unity, jointly overcome and solve them, consolidate the strength of the team, and enhance combat effectiveness. We must respond to and bear in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's call that happiness is achieved through hard work, and hard work itself is a kind of happiness, carry enthusiasm and love to work and start businesses, unite the majority, and work together to contribute to the goal of building Southeast University into a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.

Secretary Liu Qichuan expressed gratitude for Vice President Sun Litao's comments and emphasized the importance of carrying out democratic activities for the development of our institution. The Law School has formed a united and cohesive leadership team. In the future, based on the results of this democratic life meeting, we will make good plans for the 15th Five Year Plan and enable the school to move towards new heights on the basis of steady development!
