On the morning of 21st February, Chen Hui, Director of Basic Law Teaching and Research Department of Law School of Henan Polytechnic University, and his delegation visited Law School of Southeast University to conduct an in-depth research on undergraduate teaching and training, master's degree teaching and training, and other topics. Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Law, firstly expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Director Chen Hui and his party, and systematically introduced the history of the establishment of the School of Law of Southeast University, and said that this research would further deepen the cooperation and exchange between the two sides, and hoped that the two sides would establish and improve the regular exchange mechanism in the future, and jointly explore and push forward the cultivation of legal talents.
Director Chen Hui introduced the re-establishment history and innovative practice of the Law School of Henan University of Technology. Since the restart of the construction of the discipline of law, the Law School has focused on the characteristic directions of ‘food safety law’, ‘intellectual property and industrial integration’, opened a series of practice-oriented courses and explored the possibility of ‘Law + Grain and Foodstuffs’ and ‘Law + Grain and Foodstuffs’. Since the restart of the construction of the discipline of law, focusing on the ‘food security law’, ‘intellectual property and industrial integration’ and other special directions, a series of practice-oriented courses have been offered, and the interdisciplinary talent cultivation mode of ‘law + grain and oil engineering’ has been explored to deliver composite rule of law talents for the industry.
Vice Dean Shan Pingji introduced in detail the undergraduate management system of the School of Law in terms of curriculum quality, faculty and talent cultivation, while Vice Dean Ji Yang focused on the teaching and training of postgraduates, Vice Secretary Chen Yun systematically introduced the innovative initiatives of the School's student work, and Teacher Ma Yanghuai supplemented the teaching management of postgraduates.
The two sides had an in-depth discussion on ‘the role of class teacher in the construction of academic style’, ‘cross-campus management coordination’, ‘stress relief in scientific research’ and other difficult points, and expressed their hope to further strengthen the exchange and jointly promote the cultivation of high-quality legal talents. The research has built a bridge for the two institutions to have a deep dialogue. Deputy Secretary Chen Yun concluded that in the face of the new challenges of legal education in the new era, the two sides need to jointly explore innovative development paths, establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, and jointly respond to the proposition of cultivating rule of law talents in the new era.
