On the afternoon of February 27th, Professor Bi Jinping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (in charge of work) of the Law School of Anhui University, led a team to visit the Law School of Southeast University for in-depth research and exchange on topics such as research output mechanism, faculty team construction, discipline construction, party building work, and alumni association construction. Chu Chencheng, Vice Dean of the Law School of Anhui University, Zhong Fang, Deputy Director of the Anhui Rule of Law and Social Security Research Center, Zheng Zongyan, Director of the Social Service Office of the Law School of Anhui University, Wu Fengting, Head of the Alumni Office, Yuan Meijiao, Graduate Counselor, Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University Law School, Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean, Ji Yang, Vice Dean, Gao Ge, Director of the Alumni Work Committee, Dong Guozhen, Director of the Office, Wang Weiwei, Secretary of the Administrative Party Branch and Personnel Secretary, Song Ningwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Research Secretary, and Zhong Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee and Graduate Counselor, all participated in this research activity. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Secretary Chen Yun.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Liu Qichuan warmly welcomed the visit of Deputy Secretary Bi Jinping and his delegation, and briefly reviewed the establishment process of the Law School, summarizing the level of discipline construction and scientific research achievements of the school. Secretary Liu Qichuan stated that this research activity provides a valuable opportunity for exchanges between the two academies, which will further deepen the cooperation between the two sides, promote experience sharing, and advance the common progress of the two academies in the field of legal education and research.
Vice Secretary Bi Jinping expressed gratitude for the warm reception of the Law School and provided a detailed introduction to the current situation and achievements of Anhui University Law School in terms of scientific research output, faculty team, discipline construction, and platform construction. He pointed out that the Law School of Anhui University has a long history and fruitful achievements, but it is currently in a critical period of development and urgently needs to seize development opportunities, learn from the experience of advanced law schools, and promote further development of itself.
Director Gao Ge gave a detailed introduction on the construction of the alumni association. He shared the successful experience of the college in gathering alumni resources, building alumni exchange platforms, and promoting multi-party cooperation and mutual assistance, and emphasized the important role of alumni resources in the development of the college.
Vice Dean Jiyang emphasized the scientific research progress and disciplinary construction achievements of the college, and comprehensively summarized the scientific research work of the Law School during the 14th Five Year Plan period. He pointed out that in recent years, the Law School has made significant progress in scientific research project application, academic achievement output, and interdisciplinary integration. In the future, it will continue to strengthen scientific research innovation and promote high-quality development of disciplines.
Secretary Liu Qichuan gave an in-depth exposition on party building work and introduced the innovative measures of the college in grassroots party organization construction, party member education and management, and the integration of party building and business. He stated that the Law School will continue to learn from the advanced experience of model branches and benchmark departments nationwide, further enhance the level of party building work, and provide strong political support for the development of the college.
In addition, Professor Wang Weiwei provided additional explanations on the construction of the teaching staff and talent introduction work, sharing the specific practices of the college in high-level talent introduction, young teacher training, and team building.
In the subsequent discussion session, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on key and difficult issues such as the introduction of high-level talents, the establishment of interdisciplinary teaching and research rooms, and the application of scientific research projects, exchanging their respective development experiences from macro to micro levels. Both sides agreed to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future, and jointly enhance the overall development level of the two academies.
This research activity has established a deep communication link between the two academies, and the meeting fully exchanged the experiences and achievements of both sides in talent introduction, discipline construction, and talent cultivation. In the face of new opportunities and challenges in the field of law, the two academies will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation, work together to achieve the vigorous development of various undertakings.
