Liu introduced that the School of Law at Southeast University has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the development of its digital law discipline, with a strong faculty team, and expressed hope for deep cooperation with Nangang Group to leverage mutual strengths and promote the practical application of the Fa Heng large model. He emphasised that talent cultivation is an important manifestation of Southeast University's ‘student-first’ philosophy and expressed hope for cooperation with Nangang Group in areas such as student internships, talent recommendations, and mutual exchanges, with the aim of establishing this as an important model for practical teaching. Finally, Liu expressed his hope that both parties could further collaborate on research, focusing on ‘serving national major strategies, addressing major societal concerns, and meeting major industrial needs,’ ultimately achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

Associate Professor Yu Tao provided a comprehensive overview of the development of Southeast University's Law School from six aspects: the school's history, faculty, disciplines and specialisations, research platforms, development characteristics, and future prospects. He also shared the achievements of the school's digital law discipline construction.

President Sun Fei introduced Nangang's high-quality development and risk compliance work. He pointed out that in recent years, Nangang has been focusing on promoting innovation, green development, and digital intelligence in its business operations, particularly achieving notable results in data governance, artificial intelligence applications, and information security safeguards. Subsequently, Mr. Sun introduced Nangang's intelligent risk compliance construction, including the contract management system, litigation management system, and Nangang's intelligent risk control platform. He also highly affirmed the trial results of the ‘Faheng’ large model and expressed his hope to carry out exchanges and cooperation with the School of Law of Southeast University on the innovative application of legal artificial intelligence and legal vertical domain large models.

Deputy Director Feng Yuqing shared research experiences on the construction of a long-term mechanism for ‘promoting management through cases,’ intelligent case analysis and generation technology, and the construction of knowledge graphs for typical case types. He pointed out that the empowerment of enterprise management through the rule of law should fundamentally adhere to national policies, conduct in-depth research on enterprise needs, and truthfully tell the stories of enterprises.

Director Wang Lusheng provided a detailed introduction to the development plan for the Faheng large model, noting that ‘Faheng’ can achieve low-cost private deployment while fully ensuring data security. In the future, based on the ‘Faheng-R1’ deep inference model, efforts will be made to reduce knowledge hallucinations, further improve accuracy, and scale parameters to the trillion-level.

During the free discussion session, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as legal artificial intelligence and university-enterprise cooperation. Minister Xia Zhibin discussed the application scenarios of legal large models, Director Liu Luying discussed the construction of smart risk control platforms, Secretary Chen Yun discussed the construction of practical education bases, Associate Professor Yang Jie discussed the construction of future rule of law and digital intelligence technology innovation laboratories, and Researcher Li Jun and Teacher Bi Sheng discussed the technical principles of the Faheng large model. The salon concluded successfully after lively discussions.

This ‘Nangang-Dongda’ Legal Artificial Intelligence Symposium not only deepened communication and exchange between the two parties in the field of legal artificial intelligence but also laid a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation in scientific research and talent cultivation, holding significant importance for our institute in further expanding in-depth university-industry collaboration.
