On the evening of 22 April, the 15th ‘My Favourite Postgraduate Supervisor’ selection event, hosted by the Postgraduate Work Department of the Party Committee of Southeast University, the Postgraduate School of Southeast University, and the Communist Youth League Committee of Southeast University, and organised by the Postgraduate Student Union of Southeast University, was successfully held in the Jizhong Building Lecture Hall of Southeast University. This year's selection process resulted in the selection of 10 recipients of the ‘My Favourite Graduate Mentor’ award at Southeast University, as well as 15 nominees for the award and recipients of the ‘My Favourite Graduate Mentor’ award at their respective colleges. Professor Liu Lianjun from our college was honoured with the title of ‘Top Ten Graduate Mentors’ at the 15th ‘My Favourite Graduate Mentor’ Selection Event at Southeast University.
Liu Lianjun, a native of Jiangxi Province, holds a Doctorate in Law. He is a Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Southeast University, Director of the Centre for Party Internal Regulations Research at Southeast University, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal ‘Southeast Law.’ He has conducted research visits at National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He has published over 130 papers in academic journals such as ‘Chinese Social Sciences,’ ‘Chinese Law,’ and ‘Chinese and Foreign Law,’ and was listed on the High-Productivity Writers Ranking List by the Chinese Law Innovation Network. In his spare time, he has published over 110 commentary articles in newspapers such as the ‘People's Daily’ and ‘Guangming Daily.’ Major works include *Negativism: A Philosophical Position in Constitutional Review*, *Essentials of Judicial Theory*, *The Enigma of the Rule of Law* (1st edition in 2014, revised edition in 2019), *The Right to a Name in Public Law*, *Lectures on Party Internal Regulations*, *The Chinese Perspective on the Constitution* (co-authored), and *A Century of British Constitutional Development* (translated work).
This selection activity highlights the diligent and exemplary character of graduate student advisors.
