On May 16th, the graduation thesis defense meeting of the 2022 Digital Law Group Master's students at Southeast University Law School was held in the Big Data Conference Room on the fifth floor of the Law School at Jiulonghu Campus.
The Master's students from the Digital Law Group of the Law School in 2022 participated in the defense. Professor Chen Kun, Vice Dean of the School of Law at Nanjing University, served as the chairman of the defense committee. Associate Professor Li Qing from the School of Law at Nanjing University, Lawyer Zhou Lianyong, Director of Jiangsu Boshida Law Firm, Associate Professor Xu Minchuan, Assistant Dean of the School of Law at Southeast University, and Associate Professor Wang Yuan from the School of Law at Southeast University also served as members of the defense committee. Professor Ma Yanghua, as the secretary of the defense committee, participated in the defense meeting. The defense team strictly follows the requirements of normative documents such as the "Management Measures for the Whole Process of Graduate Thesis Quality of Southeast University Law School" and the "Working Measures for the Quality Guidance Group of Graduate Thesis of Southeast University Law School". The purpose of this defense meeting is to verify the research achievements of master's students in the field of digital law, promote academic exchange and improvement. Other master's students in the college attended the defense meeting.
In the defense, eight students, Li Yuanyuan, Xu Jie, Wang Ziyuan, Liu Yuqing, Sheng Chongqing, Yu Yaoyao, Ma Xinwei, and Li Yuanlong, systematically presented the background, research content, research methods and paths, key and difficult points, and main innovative points of their respective papers. The members of the defense committee pointed out problems in literature review, structural optimization, academic standards and other aspects based on the content of the students' papers and on-site reports, and put forward a series of revision suggestions. The defense students, relying on solid preliminary research accumulation and rigorous academic thinking, provided logically clear and informative responses to expert questions, fully demonstrating the research literacy and academic potential that graduate students should possess. The atmosphere of the entire defense was serious and lively, with a strong academic atmosphere.
Finally, after the collective resolution of the defense committee, it is recommended to award master's degrees to 8 master's students in the Digital Law Group. The defense has been successfully concluded.
